Frontline Fuels of War demo out

Demo?!
I can hear you thinking...didn't they already release this game. Yup they did!

But alas, the news is about our sponsor TheGameWorld having asked Kaos studio's (what's in a name) to release a demo to try and boost the amount of gamers that play the game.

And as such their request was granted, which is awesome! While you're at it you can download the demo and play on TGW servers which are of the high quality you'd expect them to be.

So check it out quickly. I haven't played it myself so can't tell you what I think

but I do want you to give it a shot:

Gamecenter drawings

As many of you know we have already begun the construction of some of the basic gamecenter stuff needed (like cleaning the floor and setting up the area to recieve a total of 4300 kilo's of cement carnage).

As such there was quite obviously a drawing needed, since the local council doesn't approve anything without nice and accurate drawings

.

The meeting with them did go as planned and they had no objections against the drawn plans. Construction wise and goal wise it all fits their guidelines.

I just received confirmation that the construction plans have been approved which fits out first week deadline perfectly. The first week of august we'll be dumping 4,3 tons of Cement on the floor to even it out. Prior to this a few of us will construct large parts of the hall way at ground level of the gamecenter. So alot of builder stuff going on here.

So we felt with sharing the architects drawings with you. I've only photoshopped the 1st floor (there's a total of 3 floors in the building) as that is our primary "floor of action" so to speak.

It displays the gamecenter area, the event hall which we can use to house about 60 PC's and around 150 people standing with live video streaming services and professional theatrical lights.

That said, take a look (the original drawing paper is roundabout 2 metres by 2 metres so i've taken the liberty of schaling it down for you).

The drawing is contructional only. And thus does not contain any decorational or furniture wise architecture. That will follow at a later date.

But it should give you a good idea of the size. Round about 9 metres wide and 18 metres long (162 squared metres). Plus an event hall of roughly 11 metres by 18 metres.

Trackmania Nations Forever team

A few weeks back we got encountered by a Trackmania Nations Forever team with a quite big amount of players in it. We gave them a chance to get into a Trialperiod for KaoS. Now we are a few weeks later and we informed the TMNF team about it.

This team showed what it is worth and kept a close contact with us. By this and some other points we came to the decision to accept this TMNF team as the official TMNF team racing under the name of KaoS Contingency.
The lineup contains the following racers:

Nemesis

SqeToX

Kwyk

BMLL
mortaL

With a lot of potential, motivation and (developing) racing skills we know that this team can make it far in the eSports.
A few players have performed already, Nemesis qualified himself to the ESWC Finals in San Jose in the UK Qualifier for TMNF, Ace won a few LAN's in The Netherlands and so on and so forth.

I am very happy to announce that we are going to be part of a very professional team with our relatively new line-up and to represent them in Trackmania Nations Forever is great. Our team will participate in several individual and team championships soon, such as ESWC and STC5! Our lineup hasn't changed much. The only driver we will add to our team is MortaL, who comes directly over from Team Excello.

From my side the future looks bright and I hope, no, I know this relationship will rest long!

We'd like to welcome this team to KaoS Contingency!

Antwerp eSports Festival

The Antwerp eSports Festival is getting closer and closer (25-27th of July). As of late, the groups have been made public for the two tournaments that will be organised during this event, Call of Duty 4 and FIFA08.
Both our FIFA08 will be attending this event,

Bart 'Bartinho' Nooyens and

Mark 'vnX' Schalken.

KaoS.Bartinho qualified himself for the National Finals of the Dutch WCG Qualifications a few weeks ago for FIFA08. Bartinho had to play versus

KaoS.vnX during the WCG playoffs and thus sadly only Bartinho went on leaving vnX behind. After a good match vnX got beaten in the last few minutes by Bartinho. The last match of the day for Bartinho was versus

Maxos. It was a thrilling match and could have gone in favor of either of the two, but only one could place himself for the finals. Bartinho managed to drop the bombshell in the 3rd match winning with an overal match score of 2-1

mTw takes down fnatic in ESWC masters final

For a second time in 2008,

mTw conqured the title of an international tournament.
They took their second major of the year after defeating

fnatic in the grand final at ESWC Masters.

The top 3 teams here that had not qualified in their national qualifier yet for the global ESWC finals, would be granted an autoberth here.
Teams such as

emuLate had already secured a spot.
One of the favourites who were fighting for their last chance was

MYM, who won the ESWC event last year under the organisation Pentagram G-Shock, but this year they failed to even advance from the group stage.

ESTRO, managed to grab the 3 tickets with top 8 finishes.

DCC were affected too greatly by the various line-up changes leading up to this tournament, to make a big impact, other than a draw in the opening match against American topdog

New website
Early last week our sponsor TheGameWorld.nl launched their new an improved website. The website brings an added user experience to the table and while at it introduces a full English website together with the Dutch counterpart to ensure that all non-dutchies amongst us can enjoy their servers.

Our website update
And as things go we updated our own website as well. We've made the menu more compact and dropped all ever increasing sponsors in the top.

That said we've also add a kaos video player which will be used to dump any good video's we find online. WCG Dutch Qualifications for FIFA08

This weekend were the WCG Dutch Qualifications for FIFA08, our players

Bartinho and

vnX were attending this event. Bartinho and vnX have attended the WCG Qualifications before. Last year, vnX continued to the WCG Finals but Bartinho never made it out of the groupfase, did he now? Read on!

The Quarter-Finals
Once vnX and Bartinho were done with the Groupfase, the seedings for the Quarter-Final would be announced pretty soon. Unfortunatly Bartinho was seeded versus vnX. Only one player of KaoS could continue to the Semi-Finals.

First match:

As you can see, it was a neck to neck race as they both are skilled players and been playing together for a long time. It all came down to the third match. With 80 minuts already on the clock, vnX scored a confident 02:00 and it looked bright for him. But than, luck just ran away from vnX and hit Bartinho. Bartinho made e-mazing goals one after an other.
The final score for the third match:
Bartinho 03:02 vnX

This would mean that Bartinho would continue to the Semi-Finals of the Dutch WCG Qualifications. It was a tough match, but only one could win, well played vnX!

The Semi-Finals

Bartinho had to play versus

Maxos. This promised to be an exciting match too. Maxos took the first match with01:00 We all knew Bartinho had to take the next two matches to win this. The whistle went off on the playfield and the second match started. The concentration was high and vnX was by Bartinho's side to give him some tips and so. Bartinho made a confident 05:02 and won the second match by this.

It was 01:01 overall now and this would be the decider match for who would continue to the National Finals of the WCG Dutch Qualifications. Both players were doing their best to win this one. But all luck that left vnX earlier, was still at Bartinho's side as he won this third, exciting and last match with 02:01!

A dozen of people were cheering as Bartinho qualified himself to the National Finals of the WCG Dutch Qualifications for FIFA08 this year where he will be facing

Rollo in October. We wish him good luck with the Finals, as we know now for sure, that he stands a good change to win those!

On sunday the 6th of July, our XboX360.Halo3 team would be playing their WCG Dutch Qualifications in Den Haag. We all know they have a good chance to get far, why don't you hop by too?

The World Cyber Games Dutch Qualifications for Halo3 are coming up pretty quick, as they will be held on the 6th of July in Den Haag. The XboX360.Halo3 team is tunig the final lineup now and are training hard for these Qualifications.

Unfortunatly one of the coreplayers of the team,

Injesterr, can not play during this event as he will be on a vacation during this period. His replacement for this event will be

xI EcS91 Ix. He is a pretty skilled player and a good substitute for Injesterr.

Furthermore there have been a few other lineup changements inside the team.

BluesBr0thersNL and

Joker VIII have been kicked duo they are on a lower level than the other players in the team are.

The mod that will be played on the WCG is MLG, which stands for "Major League Gaming" and that is the mod that the team is practicing a lot at the moment.
